Who You Are:

Your third copy of “Hey Whipple…” just arrived, and you can’t decide between cracking its spine and finishing the 41st book in that obscure sci fi series. Your friends won’t see movies with you anymore because you always predict the ending within the first five minutes. You once wrote a children’s book on a roll of toilet paper at a sports bar.

You have a portfolio full of big ideas that became advertising campaigns and you’re familiar with executing them in several channels, including broadcast & digital video, emails, websites, print & POP, presentations, social media and more. You work closely with brand management, project management, content strategy and art direction to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging. You have a versatile style, assuming the voice of the brands for which you write.

What You'll Do:

  • Interpret briefs to develop and produce creative concepts and content through execution on assigned brands
  • Write concepts for branding assignments and promotional campaigns
  • Present copy, concepts and other marketing deliverables to internal team, to clients as required, and participate in client pitches on occasion
  • Research and understand brands’ needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings
  • Write original copy and edit content for a range of marketing materials
  • Contribute to MindHandle’s overall creative product through social media, inbound content, case stories, awards submissions, new business presentations and other forms of agency promotion
  • Proof new and existing agency copy for accuracy and consistency while referencing provided brand standards

 How you’ll do it

  • Continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action
  • Comfortably vary voice, style, and other characteristics demanded by the industry, brand, or target audience at hand
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communication and client-related industry trends
  • Stay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging
  • Demonstrate an understanding of MindHandle’s Magnetic Storytelling process, and develop content to bring these strategies to life
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the challenges and opportunities in many categories of business, including multi-unit restaurant/retail, healthcare, real estate, banking and more
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times
  • Stay abreast of best practices and guidelines for content in digital channels

 What You’ll Need

  • 3-5 years of professional copywriting experience with solid portfolio of work that specifically highlights content for blogs, emails, websites and social media
  • Exceptional writing and research skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skill and multitasking ability
  • Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides
  • Experience working with content management systems, HubSpot, WordPress, etc.
  • A keen eye for detail and appreciation for great design
